1. Hey,

I don't know If It's asked before but what do you think about the charity of Bono for especially Africa ?

I think It's great he does that and that he can combine that with being a Rockstar.
Bono must be a very very busy man...
But If everyone was like him, I think the world would be a better place

    Now, that was my opinion
  2. It's great. To use your popularity to make people realize what's going on in Africa, that's amazing. The world would have been a better place with more people like him
  3. i find it interesting how someone could actually get ticked off by his charity work.

i'm always amused when someone asks me, "so, like, do you think he's genuine with all that charity stuff or do you think it's for publicity?"

i guess the word "charity" is misleading, he tends to use vocab more along the lines of "justice" and "emergency." those two words have nothing to do with celebrity / social status, and they carry much more weight and urgency. i really think that's how he sees it, too.
  4. I support his work!

Did anyone buy his little book "On the move"?

Yes the pics are from that trip, but it is actually the speech he did at the 2006 National Prayer Breakfast in Wasington DC

Here you can watch the speech:

  7. It is good to let people know this kind of thing is going on, and can be stopped but isn't being stopped.

I signed up for both the ONE campaign and RED, and have purchased a pair of sunglasses from RED. Oh yeah, and I also am thinking of buying something else like the iPod but I haven't seen any in Australia.

And just for anyone with a newborn kid, check this out...cute.

If it wasn't genuine, he wouldn't be doing it I would think. It is an emergency and a crisis and needs to be stopped so that these people have a chance at a decent life. I always get amused when someone says 'he's doing it for publicity'. Well, he is doing it for publicity to get these people noticed and something done.

I applaud people like Bob Geldof and Bono for their work. It's hard work, but every time those ONE speeches were done it really made you sit back, listen and think.

    Good on them for it.
  9. Does anyone know where to actually BUY some of this stuff? It seems to me it's being kept so low profile, especially in America, BeCAUSE of fear of backlash. Perhaps it's also because I don't live further North anymore/work in a mall. I thought the black ONE shirt was cool, but by the time I saw the link through Nordstrom's.. U2.com? that color was sold out'. I've also signed up repeatedly for info. on Red, etc.. yet never received notice. Are there a pair of RED Converse All Stars? (Chuck Taylor's) Where might one buy the RED Sun glasses, etc.. Also, is there anything else reasonably priced from Edun besides the White One T-shirt left?

    Thanks!
