Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15

  1. U2;com says 5 sold out but then they would aye?

TM has limited availability for Auckland 1 but U2.com says it is sold out.

  2. 25k seated, 15k standing? I don’t know that but just a suggestion. Taylor swift though who does achieve good sales managed only just over 35k and that’s all the tickets that were made available according to Wikipedia.
  3. The good thing is the touts are being screwed over.

How low can they go on show day?

I mean, you can go to the website and see the available blue sections yourself. One can even count the blue dots if there's enough time in their hands There's much more blue dots than grey dots as you can see in the video I just took. There are full blocks that are completely greyed out because they aren't on sale at all, and some sections are partially blocked (who'd buy full rows of the furthest seats when there's hundreds of better located for the same price? It's safe to assume those have been pulled out by Ticketmaster).

Of course the counting can't be done with GAs but seeing the seats makes me doubt GA is anywhere close to being sold out - which is the only way they'd go anywhere near that 16k figure.

  5. It annoys me that you used a phone to record it and not screen recording software

But holy shit those sales are bad.
  6. Dynamic pricing has been underway for a month or two for Sydney 2, & tickets are being moved.

I don't understand why the same thing hasn't happened yet for Auckland 2. There's still CAT 1 seats ($360) for sale in the upper tiers. Who in their right mind would pay those prices. Even many desperate uber fans would baulk at those seats right when tickets go on sale during FOMO. They've got to appeal to the masses, the casuals now, & they're certainly not doing that!

From what I could see (before my Ticketmaster webpage crashed), there aren't many $60 for sale. Instead loads & loads of $360 & $260 seats, & quite a few $190 seats.

Better to get something for the seats, instead of nothing. Would look better having bums on seats too.
  7. I thought someone in this thread counted how many seats were available?

My Snagit license expired a few days back and I haven't renewed it yet so yeah, there' you go

Could've been worse - I could have taken a vertical video
  9. The rumour a few weeks back was that Auckland 2 had sold 8,000 tickets.
Where the hell is the promotion and price slashing? Someone has fallen asleep at the wheel.
  10. To further add to the WTFism, I wonder why they blocked the lower sections of the seats in the same stadium in 2010

  11. Yeah that was me. There was around 8700 seats left as of a few weeks ago.
