  1. Hey team, Im in RZ solo for night 1 and GA with a mate for night 2. For those who went in 2017, what would you recommend in terms of viewing points, timings and just any tips to get the best experience possible? will be my first U2 gig so want to make it memorable cheers
  2. Remy thought this would be best posted here so hopefully those attending all shows can see it.

    There seems to be some issues already unfolding ahead of show 1 in NZ. In NZ and Australia if we want the front row we show up early on concert day. We will not honour any fan made system of checking in days ahead of the concert.

    We go to work, go to school and have waited 9 years to see U2 in our country.

    Your system may work in the US, UK and Europe but please be prepared to form an orderly queue early on concert day in Australia and New Zealand.

    Good on you, it’s about time someone sticks a spanner in the works of these line organisers.

  6. The best way to avoid that is for there to be more people there not using the system than those that do. If someone was willing enough they could start chatting to other fans about turning up on the morning of the show only and shunning the check in system. These people will only be brave when they outnumber people because they are effectively bullies used to getting there way.
  7. And probably overcome you. They know people from the band's outer circle that can vouch for them and their crappy system, and most of the times they will convince the venue's security (which ends up deciding what is done and what not) to honour it. I'ts like fan mafia
  8. I wish you the very best of luck in overcoming the ridiculous lines, but it will probably be unsuccessful as Sergio points out. It’s about time it came to an end.
  9. I'm trying to avoid spoilers but I saw old mate's other thread and figured that tourists might need to be told, we are a bit of a different society here to the wealthy European countries when it comes to getting pissed off. People will fight you before talking to you

    I think the venue is likely to go for the easiest way and if there’s more of you than them I don’t think security would honour there system.
  11. There are a number of tour Facebook pages and there have been people talking to venues.

    Basically the venues are saying first in best dressed on concert day and the venues will provide wrist bands to those arriving early on concert day.

    Perfect that’s the way it should be. Glad that things are actively being done. Need to get some of you from Oz and NZ over here to sort things out.
