1. Little Things
  2. Every Breaking Wave and Little Things
  3. That recording of What's Going On is phenomenal. I listen to it all the time (more than any of Songs of Experience).
  4. The troubles, 13, every breaking wave, love is bigger
  5. Cedarwood Road, Little Things, The Troubles
  6. EBW (acoustic) gets my nod, with Little Things and Invisible close runners up.
  7. Every Breaking Wave (either version) and Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way for me.
  8. Every Breaking Wave, Love Is Bigger, and Song for Someone
  9. Gonna go against the grain here and say Lights of Home - but specifically the strings version. It's just too fucking good. It has so much urgency, has such a great lyric from B, great playing from the band, etc. The outro for the song is just too good, too.

I'd honestly say it might not just be the best of the decade, but one of their best overall. It's exactly the kind of song I want U2 to be writing at their age.

Honourable mentions go to Little Things, Love is Bigger, Book of your Heart, and Iris.

It took me a long time to prefer the string version over the album, in fact I maybe like them equal, I listen less to the studio string version than regular album version but probably listen to the live versions more than anything else (not unusual for me with most u2 songs) which are all string. I prefer the tour version to the bbc version with Edge making a few tweaks on guitar. Anyway that was a long way of saying lights of home might be my 2nd favourite of the decade. I do like California, the troubles, landlady and little things almost equally but perhaps lights of home’s superiority live makes it stand out as 2nd behind only love is bigger both of which would make my dream u2 Setlist . There’s loads of other songs in the last decade I think are great I haven’t given a mention as well.

For sure! Some great mentions in your post there, as well. California is underrated, and I'll never forgive U2 for not only barely playing it live, but completely removing those super rainy, washed out synths in the chorus that practically make that song what it is for me
