They already stated that Rock N Roll is ridiculous, but with this revival, it's the band itself that would be ridiculous.
If jt30 had the weak argument JT being relevant, ab/zoo can easily adapt.
War in Syria, migrant crisis., rise of the right, fake media, obsession with social media, another prez to mock... Plenty to comment, Plenty of work for Macphisto. And Willie Williams can go to town with the stage.
  2. I would love a 30 year anniversary release of the Zooropa album in 2023 with as much extra unreleased material from the recording sessions as they have because it seems they were on a creative high then.
  3. I honestly think many of you asking for an "AB30" tour would be disappointed by the result of such an idea.

Nope, they barely assembled ten tracks.
  5. Give me Zoo TV 2022

  6. The dad in me agrees with the dad in you on 2022. My daughter will be 10, and I really want her to see U2 live. I wouldn't want to bring her any younger than that. She hasn't really started to hear their music yet, however, the other day, SBS came on the radio in the car and she said: "Oh, I like this."

I have to realise this particular dream very likely will not happen for me. I'm nearing 40 now, my daughter is 4 1/2, and my son is 1 1/2. I tend to agree with you on the age; 10 would be a good time, otherwise I'm just being selfish and dragging them along to satisfy my wish. So that means I'd have to catch a tour in about 2026 or 2027 with my daughter, and 2030ish with my song. It might happen; I'm prepared that it won't.
  8. I think I agree with this and I'll use the illustration of Hollywood re-making movies. Are they EVER as good as the original?

    But, we can hope...
  10. If I were to guess, they will release an album anytime from late 2021-late 2022. It will be followed by a tour around the length of IE or EI. I'm torn if it will be arenas or stadiums; we could get a Vertigo like tour again where it was a mix of arenas and stadiums.

I don't think they will call it a day anytime soon.
  11. They had almost a year off between EI & JT2019. Think it will be another year/18 months before we maybe get some idea or rumors as to what may come next.

But next year will certainly be quiet.

As stated on another thread, I expect next tour to be stadiums with shorter legs but the tour lasting longer.

They did not however release a new album in between. I don't think we'll have that quick a turnaround next time; JT2019 only came so quickly because it was a continuation of JT2017.
