  2. So what was the mention of recency bias to do with then?
  3. Probably yes, setlistwise, which also tells something about the rest of the tour (which in general had good variation). And even on leg 2 I got to hear 40, Wild Horses, Miss Sarajevo, Running, Party Girl and Electric Co, Out of Control, Original of the Species and all the other new songs. Anyone remember Love and Peace? City of blinding lights still sounding fresh. Even SBS sounded fresh back then, after missing most of the 90's. Opening the encore with Zoo Station and The Fly.
  4. people seem to forget that every tour had it's own Acrobat. Every tour had it's own excitement. But it's sometimes hard to remember. I wonder how some would rank E&I in 15 years, when maybe Acrobat and Wild Horses show up regularly in the next tours.. would you still be so excited about E&I? I doubt it. I remember the Vertigo Tour was very well received and now it's almost at the bottom of every list. I just feel a bit sorry for it, it's not what it deserves.
  5. U2 should have played 40 in Mumbai.

I saw 3 shows in Europe just with standard setlists so almost no changes (two identical sets and one when in second half of the leg Miss Sarajevo replaced Running and impromtu Party Girl instead of Yahweh)
SBS sounded great on Elevation tour, but definitely not on Vertigo tour.
LAPOE was great and probably the only song I still listen from HTDAAB album.
Also bad versions of Pride/Streets/One or the worst version of Bullet...

NA legs or whole 2006 were much better.
  7. Yeah we Europeans got such a mistreatment in 2005 The rest of the tour was miles better in all regards than our leg.
  8. Agree with both ("Yes" - could be used for every final night of any tour though - and "offtopic").
  9. At least they made it up in 2009 and 2010 in Europe
  10. again: YES! 40 should close every tour - preceded by IFW or OOC!

yes, setlist wise. I already said that in the first sentence. Still the 2nd leg wasn't that bad if you take a closer look at it and certainly those shows were on quite a high level with very enthousiastic crowds. They had a bit of a false start in Brussels (from what I've heard), but after that they were in tremendous form.
Btw, I agree on Bullet, but not on SBS. The crowd went really wild on it, especially in Amsterdam.
