I know Axl's voice has been a bit meh.
bought my ticket for Florence show
  2. I thought for a while about getting a ticket, but decided not to go this time. Saw them 2 years ago and it is enough for me. Slash and Duff are excellent, but Axl sings in falseto pretty much any time he should push his vocals. I bet he only saves his voice, since I saw him 3 years ago with AC/DC and he sounded 500% better. But yeah, he was an employee of Angus and had to deliver. I think that when he is the boss, he plays it too safe. On some songs he sounds tolerable, on some he sounds absolutely horrible. Plus they had totally horrible sound. One of the worst sounding concerts I have ever attended.
As I wrote, Duff and Slash are absolutely great, but I think catching Slash solo is waaay bigger bang for the bucks. I saw him twice with Myles Kennedy, who is much better singer than Axl these days, they played arenas, and of course, the tickets were much cheaper. So I will go to see Slash solo if I have a chance again, but GnR were enough once.
  3. GnR in Dublin in June is tempting!
