If U2 would ever come back to Columbus I could get my Dad to go with us too, and we’d have 3 generations! Dad would love it, he’s seen them with me before a couple times, but he’s not going to travel to see them. He’s the same age as the U2 members, so he’s always curious about how they’re aging compared to him, and if they’ve still “got it”.
  2. No, he lives like that. His pillow is filled with cassete tapes instead of goose feather and his floor is paved with vinyls and lithographs.

  3. If you read the book 'Until The End Of The World', they had a lot of ideas including full rock songs they left off which some changed and ended up on Pop. Plus other instrumental jams and an idea for a track using tape loops called 'Squidgy'. Or foregoing Zooropa, in 2027 a Pop anniversary special.

    Bye.
  4. People have said the band needs rest, but that’s what they have already done for almost a year since EI ended in November 2018. That’s when they deserved a break and had one for the better part of 10 months. Interrupting their break for 2-3 months of touring and rehearsals does not now mean they need a further long break.

We’ve heard that they already are at work on the next album. They recorded Ahimsa in September and may have a lot of other stuff recorded. My guess is they will be back at work on new songs as early as January-February. I think this 6 week tour will have inspired them to move on to what’s next more than it will have exhausted them.

As to when a new album is released? They will not release a new album without touring behind it. If they don’t want to tour before 2022, then the earliest we will get a new album is fall 2021. They will intentionally take their time. I think they were inspired by having a short tour. I think they may be hoping to do a couple of short tour legs, probably in stadiums, in 2021 and if the new music flows out of them easier this time, we could have an album by Spring 2021, which would be 1.5 to 2 years after starting it.

    imagine that
  6. I would like to see them release an album that isn’t going to tour. One producer. A record that isn’t trying to be no1. Not a safe one. They should all pop off to Tokyo for 3 months, come back with some impermanence distilled into 12 songs. Plus, i think bono does his best work under neon lights.
  7. One more album in 2021, and two more tours. One for the new album and the other for the Achtung Baby anniversary.
  8. New album back end 2021 .
Tour arenas winter 2021 / early 2022, stadiums summer 2022
  9. I’m thinking that they take most of next year 2020 off that’s when we get the SOE dvd and the Joshua tree dvd in the summer and that’s when they start on the new album with a tour in 2021
  10. Hopefuly no tour until the end of 2021
  11. I would love to hear them play some songs from Boy that haven’t played in a long time since it’ll be 40 years old in 2020
  12. Please take your time, make a strong rock n roll album, tour like 360 and let the world see that U2 was, is and always will be the best, greatest and biggest band in the world!

And than...i wake up. Did i dream out loud?
