1. Plus the guy on stage in Paris is one of the things that are really difficult to watch. Not the he would be over the top like the other fans, but he is totally lost and has no idea what to do. Because there is actually nothing to do...so not his mistake, I think, but still pretty embarrassing

Yes it is embarrassing. Plus the e stage “VIPs”
  3. Are we speaking of Plastic Bertrand?

  5. Looks like the USA will get it on direct tv, channel 104 the 4K channel at midnight New Years Eve!
  6. I'm loving this. I can't wait to see the whole thing. I listen to bootlegs and all that, but the official releases really bring the tours home for me and make them feel, well, official.
  7. Of course. Having seen the 4 Berlin shows, I know what a great show / tour the i+e was. It is a shame what a bad DVD they managed to make out of it (plus the unwatchable picture quality of the DVD format). Looks like the e+i sequell will finally do those two tours justice. I am really looking forward to the official release, but this time I will wait for the picture quallity review before buying it. If it is anything like the i+e, I won't pay for it any more and I will download the BD rip from somewhere without a shadow of a bad consciousness, since they literally stole my money when I paid for the i+e DVD.
  8. As the TVs are getting better and better, DVDs don't Do them justice anymore. The picture quality of the Paris Bluray is outstanding, why don't you buy a Bluray Player for € 40? You won't regret it. Or just download it in HD from an official platform. On Blurays you can Spot so many more details. I'm able to spot myself on the Stones' Hyde Park Bluray from 2013, whereas on the DVD the audience is just a blurry mass.
  9. You are right Papo, I thought about buying a bluray, but the truth is, that I very seldom watch anything these days and in fact I still find DVDs good enough (blurays being far superior, no doubt), it is just this Paris DVD that has particulary bad quality. No other DVD ever bothered me, really. So getting or not getting a Bluray player is of course not a matter of money, I am just sick of buying things that I don't use much or at all afterwards. I have enough of those :-)
  10. I feel like if picture quality is important to you than you only have yourself to blame if you still use DVD.
  11. Quite the other way around. As I wrote, the quality of any other DVD never bothered me, just Paris is impossible to watch. It was discussed in this topic before, but I post it again:
When Paris was released, I compared screenshots from the official release with the same screenshots form a fan-made DVD made from the HBO leaks. The bootleg is far superior. Note, that both are DVDs, it is NOT a DVD x Bluray comparisson (though it might look like that). The official DVD is just totally butchered, since those who released it obviously couldn't care less. Here are the screenshots:
