  1. well i think the live version of running to stand still during the ZOOTV tour was the best
    version with the haleluja part at the end AWSOME an than it slips into where the streets have no name and where bono plays the harmonica part !!!!

    I agree. By far, the best live rendition of this song came on ZooTV.

    I am with you. I never gave that song a second thought until I heard it live. I have always found RTSS and Stay disappointments live. The piano and slide guitar together make RTSS for me, and I just can't put my finger on it with stay. The studio is more dreamy and grabs me in a way that no live version can compete with.


    Have to disagree re. RTSS - live (preferably the ZooTV versions, but any of the later ones do aswell ), I think it's incredible, better than the album version. That said, I like the album version too! lol.

    And Stay, I can't make my mind up - the album version, like you say, has a distant melancholy atmospheric feel to it, with the way all the different elements blend, whilst the live versions, particularly when it's just Edge on acoustic and Bono singing, have a raw power to it.
  4. IMO, Stay is much better live acoustic. The ZooTV versions and the studio version are just too plain-jane for me. (:M to the video though!)

    I'm no real fan of the acoustic. I love the album version. The only ZooTV version that was properly nailed was R.D.S. Not just because of the audio quality, they just nailed it
