1. The rose bowl stream on YouTube went smoothly if i remember right. They must know how many subscribers they have so should be prepared for the number of people they get tuning in. Not saying that means they will be but they should be.

Yep... I remember that one well (Bono messed up a lyric during Breathe, which they fixed on the BluRay/DVD)

The Notre Dame Elevation concert (the first one after 9/11) was also live online and worked great for me! You could pick which camera you wanted and rotate the main camera... it was super cool!

  3. Not sure if this is new but the FAQ on U2.com states it will not be available on Blu ray. I still expected them to put it on sale at some point.
  4. Often U2.com bundles come with an unannounced content (the extra print in 2016, for example). I'm hoping the DVD release is actually a BR/DVD edition.
  5. That would be awesome and would definitely make me want to resuscribe. Not being elitist here, it's just that the difference between HD and dvd is so obvious that I don't care for a dvd. This would bring us back to Elevation/Slane !

I'm with you, I was about to resubscribe as soon as I saw the announcement, then I reread it and noticed it only say DVD. I can't stand anything to watch anything in DVD in 2020 (I take it for older stuff where that's the best that was available).

The webcast was definitely a step in the right direction and a kind soul was able to hook me up with stream grabs of both the 4K and 1080p version, but still quality would be much better on an actual Blu-Ray or 4K disc (bitrate is very low, even compared to iTunes, let alone a Blu-Ray).
  7. It's a nice show indeed. Now I just need to figure out how to rip the audio. As great as the visuals are, I'm in it for the sound/music.
  8. I loved the stay rehearsal, but I did not understand, someone explain to me?
  9. Bono and Gavin Friday suggested it to Matt Askem and he went with it unfortunately. Just something he must have thought looked good I guess.
  10. Maybe it is a homage to the Stay-Video,
  11. Or a Corona-update performance, no audience to reflect what's happening in the world
  12. I liked Stay. Would have been killer as an alternative version on their YouTube channel. It’s a bit jarring when watching the concert itself.
