With a couple of changes it all sounded more fresh and they sort of got around that saturation point. And with capturing it at the right moment we just got ourselves a great new U2 video.
    Still Amsterdam 1 is at the very bottom of my list of favourite U2 shows, with Ams 2 and Berlin 3 somewhere in the middle.. maybe this show just works a bit better on tv?
    It is true that we were saturated with U2. I really wasn't feeling it for the tour in those first shows in 2018 I attended, Berlin 1/2 and Paris 1/2. Berlin 1 felt really weird to me. Something was off. Berlin 2 was better for the short amount of time it lasted. Paris was OK but GA was so packed, especially where I was for Paris 1. The band realised that they needed to do something different very early on in Europe and started rehearsing the new songs in Cologne, thank god they changed the setlist otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone to as many as I did. Berlin 3 is still my favourite U2 show, GA was great!
  2. What a shame they couldn’t do the double album and have to sets of new ,arterial to take on the road. That would have been darn interesting. 2015-2019 just looks like a big muddled mess now looking back.

    A grand madness. It was amazing. Maybe better than 92-98.

  5. It really was AMAZING, also because we got to hear so many songs that we probably won't hear ever again... I'm still a bit disappointed that thay didn't do a 2CD set full of rarities for u2.com subscribers this year. I think that could have been maybe the best gift ever
  6. Does anyone still care / bothered / exited about the dvd now they have seen and possible have a 4k copy now?
  7. I am. Not as excited as I was about seeing the show last night but having a physical copy is important to me and it being in dvd quality is fine just means it will stay in perfect condition because I’ll watch the higher quality version I downloaded.
  8. Just downloaded the 1080p digital version. Will make for some good Sunday night viewing.
