  1. I have a Zoom G1X multi-effects pedal which I use when I play, but today for the first time, I got major static fuzz when I plugged it into the amp., although after giving it a quick thump, it stopped playing up and worked fine during a band practice earlier on tongith. However, I tried to rig it up again when I got home, but I got a load of fuzz again, and it seems to be a problem whenever I use an effect with delay (and sometimes reverb. if used in sync.). When I switch to an effect without either, it works fine, but for some reason if I switch on delay (and reverb together) I get this fucking static stuff.

    Anyone got any ideas why this might be happening? Obviously, I appreciate this is a bit of a shot in the dark but I thought I'd ask anywho

If it uses some sort of insulation, check that it's not come loose and if it has, it could just be some cloth or a quick hold and screw job, but giving it a good whack isn't likely to help it in the least - if anything, it'll get worse over time. Does the fuzzing and static get louder or worse as you put up volumes and bass?

    What does a effect pedal use to plug into the amp? Just standard straight leads?

    The whack was just out of frustration lol, but yeah I could appreciate that...and yes to the fuzzing stuff - it started working again yesterday, as long as I leave it on it's ok (not very green, I know) but it's when I turn it off and on again, I run the risk of it arsing up. And yeah, it just uses normal leads, just 2 instead one so there's one running from guitar to pedal, and one from pedal to amp.
