There's massive future potential. Edge already confirmed they will be dipping into their vaults and playing some unheard stuff - esp. from the last 15 years (got a feeling we'll probably hear a fair bit of 360 material - prob nothing that we haven't heard in all the great recordings out there, but will still be good to hear previously unreleased/unplayed live material), but there could be allsorts to come out of the vaults in the months ahead.

Edge also confirmed he's working on some music pieces for the station. And he has also said he would even consider playing good quality bootlegs on air which would be pretty amazing. Plus great potential for interviews, documentaries, fan interaction, actual special live programmes perhaps, and maybe also a great platform that the band can use for a bit of occasional activism if the masters at Sirius don't object.

I'm loving the few words from the band here and there introducing songs or their favourite songs and talking about why. How about an hour long programme where each band member does their own playlist of non-U2 songs and talks about why they like it so much.

I'd really like it if all 4 of them got together via the magic of the interwebs once a month or whatever for an hour and discussed each album song by song, the making of it - all that kind of stuff. Can't see it happening mind, but who knows?!
+1 on everything you just said
  2. All this stuff is good for the band, they have had a terrible 10 years for public perception, this is a good start.
  3. I remember a few years ago there was a U2 radio run by fans, playing studio versions, official live versions and bootlegs, this new station reminds me alot about that radio

Zoo Station is similar to what you’re talking about, it was pretty decent especially playing bootlegs.
  5. It continues for the most part, as being available only in one country is not helping their perception outside of that country, only making it worse.

Well they’re letting everyone use it for free just now which seems like a thing u2 have pushed since it’s never been available to the rest of the world before. And they will be bringing highlights to us. I think this can only be a good thing for the band.
  7. "Trip Thru Your Wire" is on...my 1st U2 was the 2nd leg of Original Joshua Tree Tour. NYC. Bono had just hurt his shoulder a few nights before. Arm was in the sling for the show.

So can you use it outside of US and Canada?
  9. Yes they’ve opened it up for everyone at least for just now. Not sure how long for. If you look a few pages back you will see it. Don’t need a vpn or anything.

Unfortunately or fortunately I would say most U2 haters reside in the US. I think this generally helps them, I don’t think they are trying to cater the global audience obviously but this is definitely a positive.

Cool just found it. Open in my country but looking at the twitter thread it looks it is not working in every country.
