To be fair, I'd consider myself a super diehard lol and I'm enjoying it - nothing amazingly new to me as of yet - but there's definitely been some interesting stuff played.
There's massive future potential. Edge already confirmed they will be dipping into their vaults and playing some unheard stuff - esp. from the last 15 years (got a feeling we'll probably hear a fair bit of 360 material - prob nothing that we haven't heard in all the great recordings out there, but will still be good to hear previously unreleased/unplayed live material), but there could be allsorts to come out of the vaults in the months ahead.
Edge also confirmed he's working on some music pieces for the station. And he has also said he would even consider playing good quality bootlegs on air which would be pretty amazing. Plus great potential for interviews, documentaries, fan interaction, actual special live programmes perhaps, and maybe also a great platform that the band can use for a bit of occasional activism if the masters at Sirius don't object.
I'm loving the few words from the band here and there introducing songs or their favourite songs and talking about why. How about an hour long programme where each band member does their own playlist of non-U2 songs and talks about why they like it so much.
I'd really like it if all 4 of them got together via the magic of the interwebs once a month or whatever for an hour and discussed each album song by song, the making of it - all that kind of stuff. Can't see it happening mind, but who knows?!
