Do you have recordings of a bunch of these radio 'shows'?
  2. can you share what you got?
ive been hoping someone's been able to 'record'
  3. This station is getting better and better. They are starting to dig deeper.
Saturday Night (early version) on now,
  4. I like David Lynch though I don't really understand his works. Sometimes I was simply amazed by a scene or a piece of music, like Falling from Twin Peaks. Really surprised that he made "The Straight Story" which seemed to be straightforward and "common" as compared to his other works.

Nice to see that someone else likes the oeuvre of David Lynch (not that it is over yet). I feel that his works are often not meant to be understood and more to be experienced without expectation. This can certainly be said of his artwork. I share here some photographs I personally took of his exhibition here in the UK titled David Lynch: My Head is Disconnected (Sat 6 Jul 2019 – Sun 29 Sep 2019).

Between my other employment, I also lecture part-time at an University and teach an entire module on his work (both visual art and cinema/TV). I use The Straight Story as a quintessential analogy for time’s passing and what the idea of a home means in both its potential for joy and for sorrow.

David Lynch has most certainly influenced my own 2D/3D creative output along with Jan Švankmajer too.

I would highly recommend some of the recorded work by David Lynch (see below)...

David Lynch - Crazy Clown Time

David Lynch - The Big Dream

David Lynch & Lykke Li - I'm Waiting Here

David Lynch: My Head Is Disconnected (Sat 6 Jul 2019 – Sun 29 Sep 2019).
Manchester International Festival in association with the David Lynch Foundation UK.

Thank you for sharing! His artworks are dark but interesting, just like his movies. Is "A Lonely Figure Talks to Himself Softly" a portrait of himself? Hahaha... I'm also curious about the "soundtracks" for these works (if there's any), which I imagine would be some kind of perfect matches.

The soundtracks to David Lynch exhibitions can be found on this album...

David Lynch - The Air Is On Fire

And this also featured in one of his exhibitions too (Slow 30's Room)

I will post the U2 X Radio broadcast recording I made of the 19-07-2020 David Lynch interview soon where he talks about the duality of his mind in relation to his creative output.
