1. I think U2 will basically cease to exist for all of 2020. Bono will write 12 albums worth of songs, Edge will produce a crapload of music on his own. But not much work will be done towards the goal of a new U2 album.

I kind of thought they might publicly acknowledge the anniversary of Boy in some way this year. Club tour possibly? Reissue with more extra content? Who knows. But I bet that's all not going to happen at this point.

I feel bad for bands who just released albums, and have no way to promote it. Pearl Jam, The Strokes, soon to be The Killers.

  6. Looks like what some people were wearing at raves in the mid 90s in America
  7. Do you think we’ll get a coloured vinyl/remaster/new tracks 40th anniversary release of Boy?

When do you think we’ll hear about it?
  8. I bet they released all that they have in the 2008 remasters.
  9. They might include new remixes of songs like they did on the Joshua Tree that weren't very good.

And what's the point of re-recording songs (like that version of Red Hill Mining Town with 2017 Bono vocals and 1986 Bono vocals for the choruses). Yes, it's 'new' but it's utterly pointless. Do something new - new being brand-new words and brand-new instrumentation.

Yes, it's U2 and I'll give anything they put out a listen; but really, after the greatness that was the Innocence album (less so Experience) - focus on pushing forward. That said, the 2017-2019 tour was an anomaly and an interesting one at that.
  10. Songs like WILATW, In a Little While and Wild Honey didn't really get the airing that they might deserve. The A sides got numerous versions and live versions that most have heard enough.
