1. Speaking of classic (and soon to be classic) trilogies, the Bourne Supremacy just started on TV!! Love it!

Nice! Personally, I prefer the first one of that trilogy, but they're all good fun.
  3. So how was your weekend? Mine went by all too fast. I did spend some quality time with my boy (4 years old) though, which is cool.

My weekend actually was really slow and mellow. Hung out with some friends last night, barbecued and played "Rock Band" on their Playstation. Pretty fun, I guess, although I was a little embarrassed when it was my turn to sing. Glad you got to spend some quality time with your son. What did you do together?
  5. shopped (haha). I bought him a pair of Airwalk shoes! and we played soccer, and drew with chalk in the driveway. Then he helped me wash my car. Stuff like that. Makes me think I'm in a Norman Rockwell painting but I live for it!! Usually he's all about Daddy so it's nice when I'm 'let in'.

I tried Rock Band once and it was sheer embarassment. I don't like doing things I'm not good at in front of other people.

Sounds like a cool kid, you've got there! And yes, it was a little embarrassing to play Rock Band and not being particularly good at it. I've played a bit of Guitar Hero 3, so I could get the guitar part, no problem. But the singing was a bit more intimidating.
  7. Oh, funny story. I got called a Satan Worshipper today at the mall.

    Why!?

EDIT: Hopefully not in front of your son.....
  9. No, not in front of the boy, although we have a pretty open dialogue about religion so it might have been 'interesting'. But anyway, I was walking in front of a very VERY conservative looking family - females were in long skirts and long sleeves, males wore shirts tucked in, etc.

    Daughter: whisper, whisper, whisper
    Mom: I know, I saw
Son: blah blah tattoo blah blah satan worshipper
Daughter: That's NOT what it means.

Isn't that crazy! It was all I could do not to turn around and hiss at them just to freak 'em out!!

That would have been great. They probably would have all pissed their pants. You could have busted out some He-Man, and shouted "By the power of Grey Skull!!!!" That would have done the trick too.

    What a bunch of weirdos.
  11. Nice He-man reference! I'm guessing you're about my age, maybe a little younger (32???).

26 (almost 27), so pretty close. Believe it or not, my mom didn't like me watching He-Man because he said stuff like that and she thought it was Satanic or something......so I'd sneak over to my friend's house and watch there.

EDIT: and if it weren't for retro t-shirts, a lot of the members here might not know who He-Man was!
