I think what it says is; no one can buy Messi, but still he's free to go. Anyway, a player like Messi decides what's in his contract, not the club. He could have signed 1 year deal's every year which would have give him the opportunity to leave at the end of every year. I think it's a bit short-sighted to say someone mess(i)ed up. Of course now they still try to get some money out of it which would be very welcome to built a new team.
