  1. Hello everyone, I'm pretty sure we've all seen favorite quotes for U2 in various different posts, but this is nothing like that. Well, maybe a little like some of the others, but still different. I am working on a music video, in which I need backgroud media for my talent gig coming up. I told everyone that my performance would be a surprise, and they have no idea what Zoo TV is. The only people who know about the media are other people in my performance. At the gig, I'm playing/singing the Fly, playing rhythm guitar (I actually know how to play) with the others. So I let them watch various U2 Fly vids and they liked the media video that went on behind the band during the performances. So, what I'm asking is for people to post quotes from The Fly video screens on here, so I can compile them up, and make a video. For exapmple, one of them is "Be Gentle With Me". You can also make up your own, if you like. I have done so, examples being "The Bible Is A Piece of Fiction" or "Stereotypes Are Fun". I might post the video on my youtube account, possibly with the performance audio. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I'll start with the examples mentioned and some others:

  2. I did something like this a few months ago for my own viewing pleasure... graphically, it was closer to Vertigo, but there were some sayings that could easily transfer over. Let me find the DVD or boot over into Mac OS X for iMovie and get back with you.

    Oh, but I've got one:
    "Midnight is where the day begins"

    Not from Le Fly, but still awesome.

    That sounds so cool! Good add btw. I think everyone here secretly wants to do something similar to this. My "band", if you will, is now kinda hooked on Achtung right now. The enjoyed the idea of "satire of the media". I should show them PopMart next, eh?

    (Okay, the last two aren't really mine)

    You could also use (with those listed phrases) random advertising slogans, like in 'Zooropa'.
    Or other U2 things (or other artist's things) like, for example, "Miss You Sugar". (You saw that forum, right?)

    (and then red screen with white letters): NEVER
    you dont wanna see
    you dont wanna hear
    I don't know them all, but there are some video's on youtube where you can find them
