  1. Hi every one. Here Pablo, and I´m from Argentina.
    This new forum is dedicated to all those sensations that, I think, in greater or smaller measurement, causes the songs of U2 to us. In my particular case, at certain moments simply I can not explain with words, neither with images nor with which it has by hand what I am feeling (I wrote ok??). Just close my eyes and flight. Literally. I write, and it is difficult to me to express faithfully what it crosses all the body to me, my head, my mind even, in those glorious minutes.
    For example: "Original of the species" is one of my favourite songs. At the precise moment before singing the last refrain, after didit didit! … I just don´t know, the guitar sounds from another world, the Bono´s voice that rises by all the space in which it sounds the song, profaning all of it in the the best way sensacionses of those who are hearing is terribly BRILLIANT. Like I said, I cannot explain, but I finish unemployed in another place, far from where I am really. And it is incredible.It´s so...amazing. In this case it´s something that I feel with Original.
    But there are others.
    Electrical Storm is one of them. That beginning is simply beautiful. And the controlled storm of half in ahead also is beautiful. Listen to the songs, but do it from inside.

    I have this feelings too...only a U2 song can do this with people...and only God can explain that....because U2 belief in God too...They're the nearest to God band in my opinion...

    Yes, I understand you perfectly. You mean some of us(including me) get those feelings because U2 is a band with a certain christian background. It gives us a sort connection with God, as if God speaks to us trough U2. (Could have been a preacher )

    I'm not a christian...but it's exactly this!!

    I think that U2 belief in God and we have to belief in God...above of any religion

  10. U2 (and yes for instance these songs ) just can give you a whole mix of emotions... They can make me dream, happy, sad... But i don't know if this is actually a connection with God, cause for me, that's sometyhing really unique and not so easy to feel...

  12. Bond even said that, at some time. In one of the interviews for "Rolling Stone" he gave to the Rolling magazine, at least the one who sold in Castilian, comments on that relation with God and music, in special with HIS music.
    Songs as 40 are psalms, literally. Leaving of side it, seems important to me remember. There are no sorts, are ways to see. For that reason, somebody can say that it is “a religious” experience or not. It depends ... each one, I think.
    That is even applied, in another subject of course, when "they" (ja) say that U2 does not make Rock.

    Returning to the main subject. I BELIEVE IN GOD. U2 even return to me some faith that I´ve lost.
    My grandmother, as a child knew to raise enough good to me in these aspects. To differentiate the good thing from the bad thing.
    I have a very great sensitivity with the things, but with music specially. At the time of writing note, or I suppose that it is thus. It is by this, that a group like U2 has struck SO MUCH in my life, my head and my whole body. When I hear for example, One, arriving in the end, in the riff (Se dice asi punteo??), is like flying.
    The first time that I hear Original of the species, Live from Chicago, cries as a baby (they supose that Original of the species it is one of my favorite song).
    If you to wear that velvet dress is another one of “those” songs in which to my it concerns. I hope not to bother with my “opinions”.
