    No, I only live in a tri-lingual country thank you very much. English-speaking people almost never get the "r" right. The t is silent indeed, but the r is pronounced back at the tongue.

    Not relevant. Quebecois tend to look down their noses at people speaking with European French accents. Again, having seen the argument over the island's pronunciation many times, I'll stick to my assessment til a true Montrealler speaks up.
