  1. I remember there were rumours of Bruce joining the band during that 2009 East Rutherford show, and then being disappointed that he didn't make it. It would have made the She's The One / Desire medley much more epic

That says a lot about the man that he put so much work into rehearsal.

I'm not sure if it's 2 million or 4 million euro U2 charge per performance ......

    Sorry I just couldn't resist

Over all IMO LA5 was the best of the run
  6. Up until now since 8/8/87 Out of control has always been my favourite U2 live song but somehow having it a standard is taking some of the shine off of it for me.
  7. Another Explorer song
  8. It's refreshing to see people here who are actually questioning U2's method for what should be their best ever indoor tour. It's all white knights on u2.com.

I saw Vancouver opening night and night II. I was disappointed that even after 1 month of rehearsals, not ONCE did we get Volcano, Ordinary Love, Sleep Like A Baby Tonight and This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now. Talk about a cop out by the band.

What's even worse is that tribute bands are already playing these songs live and U2 couldn't from Day 1?

U2 are NOT the greatest live act in the world anymore unfortunately. Not the way they are taking songs and audiences for granted these days.

I love U2 and in a non U2 circle I'll always back them but here I prefer to speak my mind

Please get up off your knees....

Rehearsing 48 songs for this tour would have sounded like a giant feat once upon a time. But I saw JAMES in 2012 on the West Coast of the United States (and in the desert) and they rehearsed over 60 for their very short tour. And each night was different. Their VIP soundchecks were actually full song performances as well. Some didn't get into the nights' setlist.

As I said already I saw Springsteen do 135 different songs over 15 shows on the last tour. I think he did around 280 altogether even audience requests for songs he'd never played ever. I would never expect this from U2 but I think they could do a bit more than they're doing
