I don't think so, i like u2 like flamands artist but not everything, u2 360 degrees tour was much better ,sorry
That's a very long way of saying you prefer 360. And it is fine that you do. No apologies needed.
  2. It's just that this tour, until Songs of Experience out, you can't really change the setlist too much. I mean, if you were going to your first U2 show, would you not be pissed off if you didn't get Streets or Beautiful Day?

That post just oozes complete ignorance and arrogance.

  4. No European tours are always the opposite but we know what to expect now

First of all, the copied number just made me laugh out loud hahaha but my argument is play just one rarity for the fans who spend the money every tour and go to multiple shows. Im not saying Play everything from Zooropa, Pop, and all the B-Sides, but instead of Elevation/Sweetest Thing or Angel of Harlem/Desire just play one rarity. cough cough Discotheque cough. Shit, doesn't even have to be a rarity! Play Magnificent or Kite or something. Staples on other tours that haven't been played in a while. It doesn't have to be anything major, but just a little something for the die hards. 5 minutes out of a 2 and a half hour show won't kill anyone haha

hell no i dont need beautiful day every night/new years day sunday bloody sunday, walk on/even with or with out you have had breaks in tours
  7. Even if the casual fans don't know Discotheque, or Acrobat, or MOFO, or any super rare songs, they're good enough to keep people interested. My opinion anyway.

And how many first leg European shows went like this:

    1. Breathe
    2. No Line On The Horizon
    3. Get On Your Boots
    4. Magnificent
    5. Beautiful Day
    6. Optional song
    7. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    8. Rotation
    9. Rotation

    10. Unknown Caller
    11. The Unforgettable Fire
    12. City Of Blinding Lights
    13. Vertigo
    14. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    15. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    16. Pride (In The Name Of Love)
    17. MLK
    18. Walk On
    19. Where The Streets Have No Name
    20. One
    21. Optional song
    22. Ultra Violet (Light My Way)
    23. With Or Without You
    24. Moment of Surrender

What a thrill. Unless we're talking about the tour as a whole? Then it's completely unfair to compare.

Yeah, it would be good. I'd love that. "Many" fans would love it.

My eternal counter point is that they really don't need to do it. They could, but I don't think is a flaw if they don't do it.

On the other hand... one could argue that the often criticized Sweetest Thing fits that description... old song, long time without being played live, and when it was played live it wasn't overused...
Then there's also October which totally fits your description. There's the snippet/version/whatever of both Hands and Zooropa. Gloria, The Electric Co, and even Out Of Control were greeted in this category when they first were played this tour.

So... I don't think they neglected that front, is just that they really are not counting that some few fans will listen to every single show from home.
