Glasgow has the paperless ticket system where you have to get the card you paid with swiped at the door for entry. And you have to present ID too. You can't sell the tickets, or let others in - you have to be the entry.

I think Glasgow is, so far, the only show with this method too.

A few shows work like that BUT only for GAs I think. Is Glasgow like that BOTH for GAs and seats? I recall seats being sold, a friend of mine bought one at the facebook fans' tickets page.
  3. My question is, does the ID need to match the credit card?
  4. Suddenly I like u2.com again But let's see how it goes tomorrow before I get too carried away
  5. I think I'll use my code for the two weekend shows and try my luck on Monday for the other two
  6. Officially I think yes. In practice no, it's impossible to double check ID against credit cards for 15000 people, entrance would take 6 hours. You just swipe the card and if it's ok present the ID.

In fact, what scalpers do to avoid this system is buying tickets with an anonymous prepaid debit card, and then mail it to the buyer together with the tickets.

I renewed yesterday at noon, before they announced...my current subscription ends in October though. I hope I do get a presale code.

    For others with similar situation...
    I called them:
    +1-855 867-5297 (inside the US)
    +001-949-333-4820 (outside the US).

and got my presale code over the phone
Now I actually have a chance and it's stressful!!
  8. Congrats Ali

Regarding paperless entrance, there's been a lot of talk about this next song about it... I guess it really depends on the venue, and maybe there are different policies even at the same venue between dates or between different gates. For example, they could check ID against credit card for GAs and not do it for seats (assuming seats are paperless too), or maybe do it one day but not the day after... It's up to the venue really. I think they OFFICIALLY have to match but they're not checked really

At least they didn't check my or anyone's IDs when I saw Muse in Belfast (paperless for GA), and others reported the same for some of the US shwos I think.
  9. No tickets on Viagogo or Seatwave yet !!

For the 360 on sale a UK scalper gang flew a gang of kids over to que for and buy tickets but the Gardaí arrested them all and sent them packing

When you saw Muse in Belfast, was it the paperless ticket system too? Because when I saw them at the Barrowlands, the girl never even bothered checking my ID, she was just worried about getting people into the venue.
