He's even using the teleprompter for his speeches and band intros. Godamn it we even know the speeches and band intros already !!
That story is legendary. Long live Shane
  2. Shanooooooooo

(They were writing him off in 1987 and the man is still going strong !!)
  3. Random (again): The coolest thing about i&e is Adam Clayton. The most uncool is Bono's hair style !!
  4. I guess I got used to his hair.. but it's definetely terrible
  5. adam should get some hair dye i think, and yes bonos hair is awful i wonder how it would look like long again , or like popmart
  6. If they don't change up the setlist because they want to follow the supposed narrative (which is a nice idea indeed, though still not 100% convinced), then that's really dumb.

Seriously, what does it really add other than spawning the thought oh that's pretty cool.

Moreover, the casual fans probably don't even have a clue about this narrative anyway (nor do they care), since they're too busy taking selfies

yes they should piss of the phones....and watch the actual show
  8. Glorious U2 Fans, I remember the times when the rumours were there will be 2 different nights, one for the old songs 1 for the new ones, then I heard they were preparing the best setlist idea of the history of music, now we can see they just change 2 songs per night on the setlist which is repetitive if you follow them all the shows, which happens with all the top 10 biggest bands on Live Nation. Is it really the band that doesn't change the setlist or is there any other impediment? Because it's not only U2 that doesn't change the setlist, I'm fan of Coldplay before U2 and they almost never change the setlist on a tour in 4 years... I don't know why?

can you tell me how vertigo landed in the 1st half of the show...seems like a pretty odd ball song if the narrative is so important. shouldnt there be another song from boy, october,or war in this spot.
  10. I actually like Vertigo where it is placed. The first 4 songs are intended to be very simple songs that embody the classic spirit of Rock and Roll. The Miracle and Vertigo are probably U2's most "rock" sounding songs. A close contender would be Boots, but I'm sure people would rather hear Vertigo over Boots. I will say that Vertigo actually has a surprising amount of energy that sometimes wasn't present during 360.

If they wanted to put another song in rotation for the first 4 songs, I think they could put Boots or Mofo into rotation. OoC, IWF, The Electric Co, The Miracle, and Vertigo are the only other "simple" rock songs they've got.
  11. Well apparently they played Gimme Shelter with Beady Eye the other day...

    Ha!
