1. Does anyone here remember the days before the world wide web when camping out the night before tickets went on sale was actually the beginning of the journey?

  2. I did it as recently as the 360 tour....
  3. Nice. Didn't think anyone did it anymore with on-line pre-sales and all...
  4. I've never done that, too young for that I guess! It was certainly more fair than queuing for tickets is these days.
  5. O yeah! But I think the last time for me was Elevation. As far as I can remember, all Vertigo tickets were purchased online. I have one story about me queing up in Amsterdam to buy Joshua Tree tickets for me and five of my friends. This was at the time that electronic banking was only scarcely available and I carried with me some 300 Dutch guilders (about 280 DM)... That was pretty scarry...
    But I was 16...and I WAS going to U2...
My first concert ever...and boy, what a concert it was!!!
  6. Never done it and I couldn't even imagine doing it. I purchase all of my tickets, be it a music concert or a football match online and have never had an issue in getting them.

Remember the since of satisfaction and actually having a physical, hard, colorful ticket it your hand? And European tickets were almost souvenirs. I have a Joshua Tree ticket from a show I saw in France, and it is beautiful!

I still have mine, or at least, what is left of it! I used it as a cover for the tape of the concert...

But it looked a bit like this, only then in orange:

How did you post that picture? I want to post mine!
  10. If you already have a photo of your ticket scanned in your computer, upload your picture to an online photo sharing service, like Photobucket (it's free). Then copy the address of your picture, click the "picture" icon that appears in the Quick Reply menu and paste the address. Your photo should appear now. PM me if you need help.
