Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Legs (3): Leg 1 - North America, Leg 2 - Europe, Leg 3 - The Americas
Shows: 52
  1. Random thought on setlist: They rehearsed An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart for i+e. I imagine they considered it for the rotational oldies second slot but I don't think it would work well there. I do think it would be SUPERB between SFS and SBS though....
  2. I really liked how they placed An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart during the Vertigo Tour in the second rotational oldies slot, meaning it benefits from a high-energy lead-in. It would be interesting to see it between SFS and SBS, but I don't think it'll work well between two relatively mellow songs (SBS being acoustic). On that note, I'm not really a fan of IE SBS. The stripped down version is sorely lacking the power and energy of the full electric version and I'm not sure if the car bomb leading into RBW is worth it.
  3. Let's hope U2 will play at Pinkpop. I will be there definetely. Which day it doesn't matter to me. Only hope yes. Here in Holland I didn't read anything about it. Today just anounced Martin Garrix en Kings of Leon. We will see.

that means they have 3 headliners and do not need a band like u2 or the chances are low
  5. If they play some festivals, i think it's gonna be USA or UK.
  6. They could probably only do Reading and Leeds in the UK. Younger audience could appeal to them if they wanted to play it.

I'd love it but it's not going to happen.
  7. The latest U2.com newsletter says: "Looks like 2017 will be a busy one for the band - make sure you stay tuned over the next few weeks."

The demographic is what makes me wonder about them playing Bonnaroo. As an old cat, if it's the only date in the region they are playing, then I'm in. But if this ends up being a tour slot and they are playing anywhere else surrounding these, I'd rather take my $300 that a Bonnaroo ticket will cost and see 2 or 3 shows in the region and not suffocate in the Tennessee summer heat trapped in a sea of sweat, fragrant vomit, piss-soaked drunken college turds and mosquitoes! .

Yes, but how else would you re-phrase the sentence that wants to say "We know you all gave us your money for literally nothing this year, do it again!"
