Dump her.... (no, just kidding)...I would say to her: 'This is MY car, so I play MY music here and if you don't like it, than don't ride along with me!

  7. I just found this topic...Thought this would be good for me to post and also a good way to bump the topic.

My mom likes them OK. She has U218 on her nano. (Yes, she has a nano...which means I had the pleasure of teaching her how to use iTunes )

And my dad was never really a big fan, but over the past year or 2 he's started borrowing my CDs and putting them on his mac. I remember the first time he watched Chicago with me. He said "They actually released a video without Bad?" Because whenever I would watch a DVD, he would always walk in during Bad, whether it was R&H, Boston, etc. And my dad's roommate in college was a big fan and actually saw them in Dublin. My cousin is also a big fan, so I've been lucky to actually have some fans in my family. And a lot of my friends I've either converted, or they already were fans.
  8. The Saints Are Coming, One, Beautiful Day - you get the idea.
  9. my mom loves them and everytime i listen to them she joins.
  10. I converted my family so much, that they all promised me to join me in 2009 to see them in Holland.. Thanks to Slane Castle on Boxing Day and playing U2 everytime I can.
  11. I have turned on my entire family to U2. My dad was the most surprising. He is a baby boomer who can find little to like musically outside of what he grew up with, but he became a big U2 fan, and has the basics. When Vertigo came through town, I went with both of my parents, my wife, one of my sisters,my uncle and my cousin. Another sister saw them in her home town. What I am really looking forward to though is the next tour. I will be bringing my oldest son with me, who is a HUGE fan. In fact I'm taking him to see U23D this weekend.
  12. My mom likes the more popular songs, i.e. Streets, but she does own Rattle and Hum and ATYCLB. My dad can't stand stand them, save for one song--ironically my favorite song, New Year's Day. When we're in the car together and that song comes on, we usually blast the eardrums of the rest of my family. My younger sisters are teenagers and obviously hate anything that I like but my younger brother likes them just because i do.
