1. Originally posted by bones44044I converted my wife to U2ism, she was a smalltime fan before our marriage ,but since then her love has grown. She watches there every move with me and eagerly anticipates their next release. Our children are all U2 fans in the highest. Our oldest (madison 12) has been a fan since birth (maybe even conception ) I would sing her to sleep every night with MLK, and her mp3 player is chok full of U2 tunes that run the gammit from early releases to newer tunes(her favorites are "Pride", and "Saints"). Our son (chase 9 ) ran around in his diaper singing "Elevation" for months . he had a whole routine that he and his sister would pantomime while singing the lyrics at high volume. And then there is our youngest( Kasidee 6 ) the moment that she was born I sang "Stuck in a moment" to her and she calmed downed and quit crying. My entire family has had many wonderful expieriences with U2 and we all look forward to many more.

I like to hear about you singing U2 to your crying child. I myself sing MLK or The verse of Ultraviolet "Oh baby don't you cry," to mine when they cant sleep.
  2. My dad is a U2 fan. He's seen them live once, way back in 1983. And he's one of the reasons why I love U2.

My mum isn't a fan as such, she likes their music though.

And from my siblings, only my brother has any interest in U2. My sisters are into R&B and stuff.

So, just me and my dad are the real U2 fans in my house.

  5. well...
I'm the only die-hard fan of U2 at my house...
and I have pretty much everyone else sick with my U2 passion!!! all I hear is: AGAIN??? hahaha!!!
never the less, I often listen with my Dad, he's not a fan but he enjoys listening once in a while, at least he pays attention when I piont him a certain song or a certain lyric or a certain moment on a DVD...
my brother likes more reggae than U2, although he really enjoys U2, we went together to the Vertigo tour here in Arg....
the closest relative, who is as passionate as me for U2, is a cousin, we often get together to watch some dvd, discussa tour or a specific bootleg... and well, now that I have U2 by U2, we will surely get together in a while to share opinions about it...
    cheers!

  8. Originally posted by MirrorballBoywell, i know LikeASong has U2-parents( which would be awesome). Are there more people here with a real U2-family? My mum isn't a fan but she likes their music My brother listens to a completely different style

Hi guys, I'm an italian girl, I've listened to the U2 since I was twelve and from that moment on I haven't abandoned them any longer.I also know paople who like U2, but I think the real meaning of the word "fan" is another. In my opinion "fan" meaus, in a sense, to be "part" of a band, to feel the band "close" to you. U2 arouse in me true emotions. Concerning my family, my mother doesn't consider their music indifferent as, for exsample does my father; my sister, on the contrary, dislikes them completely, she doesn't undestand why I'm such an obstinate fan of them.

I told her this could have happened 9 years ago! I also got the "your too into U2" speech from my Mom a few times, now she gets it! lol
