The setlist did not feel short in person last night.
In terms of stamina - the band had more than me.
Bono sang his heart out. He was very engaged and poured himself into each song.
Edge though... his tone the last two tours has really been a beautiful chunky and he powered through a lot of the show. Really enjoyed him being so strong.
Adam was funky fun and Larry was the usual steady.
I have zero qualms about the band or their stamina or their performance.
The show itself though is... odd.
Disjointed... Meh...

Bono's voice after those years of drinking and smoking have taken its toll . Maybe after 21, 22 tunes his voice goes ? Who knows . The band are certainly charging a lot of cash for only 21 tunes . My tickets were $300 + for lowers side of the stage .
The E Street Band's key member's are all close to 70 and we know what they do when they are on stage . Heck , McCartney is turning 75 this month (June18) and he plays for 3 hours and I will be seeing him next month in Miami . Im sure Larry Adam and Edge can handle a few more tunes , if it is indeed anyone or anything it's Bono.

It was definitely much better in person than it had been listening in from home. That's to be expected, but I was really loving the show through the first third.
The crowd was amped as Chicago crowds can be. Much better than the crowd at the I&E show that I saw where they were pretty weak,
Our spot was just in front of the soundboard and there was plenty of room for personal space and a great view of the screen. Was hard to see them on the little stage, but didn't really matter as stadium shows allow for other distractions.
Anyway, my issues with the show are setlist, setlist construction and the videos.
Playing the songs in the order they are playing them puts the peak of the show in the first third with a huge lag through the middle.
That could have been rescued with a stronger "encore set."
I like Miss S as a song, but after side 2 of the JT and especially Mothers, the place needed a jolt. Follow that with UV and One and by the time the energy songs of the encore hit, a lot of people had left the floor and it was hard for me to get back up for Elevation, etc…
They should have interspersed the JT songs throughout the show so that they could pad around the lesser known and/or slower songs and also not have a huge lag from essentially RHMT through One.
I mean, why wouldn't you end this show with Mothers? If you're not gonna do 40, that is.
The "Women!" theme of the encore seems forced or shoehorned too. It's almost as if they think they need a cause du jour to make these shows relevant instead of the obligated – we don't have the new album ready but have to do a stadium tour that it is.
I thought it fell flat and didn't fit with the previous 2/3s of the show. Should just fully embrace the walk down memory lane and make the JT relevant by making it the entire centerpiece of the show and placing supporting songs around it.
Finally, the video board/lights… The videos were distracting. Not even sure what the point/message was supposed to be. Would have been better served to just show band footage with cool effects than whatever all that was.
Overall, was a good show – excellent through the first third. Even after that point, was good to see RHMT, OTH (which was outstanding) and Mothers for the first time and Exit definitely delivered.
The rest of the show and the show overall left wondering what the point of this is.

Terribly short sets and absolutely awful song choices IMO

That's good to hear. Although coming off a week off, I would hope they had a little pep in their step.

It didn't feel short when I was there.
I was ready to go home halfway through the encore.
That was likely at least partially a product of song selection and placement though.
