People are just far too judgemental. Just because you're on a U2 forum and you go to several shows, it doesn't give you the right to condemn their new music and feel as if you should have a say in their creative process. They've surprised us numerous time, spoiled us many times and we're still gracious about the fact they can pour a lot of energy into live shows (see i+e). I found a lot of the selfish comments boring on here, I just skipped through the pages. It got too repetitive. I can appreciate people's opinions, accept them, whatever. You either love or hate it; but whatever your preference, don't try and force it down another one's throat just because their opinion contrasts yours.
I like the song, I like The Blackout. Little Things I can give or take, but we haven't seen these songs live yet. If you think differently, I totally accept that.
