Doesn't it though. it's brilliant. Even the lyrics are good. Bono didn't say soul or knees once. Lol
  3. Being able to hear everything at once. Brilliant. Love the bass groove. They don't need to change a thing here.
  4. I was watching the Brooklyn Bridge show a couple nights ago and during Out or Control Bono literally says:

"I just wanna - the goal is soul! Ooohhh waaaaoooo" in the final chorus
  5. I wonder how many different songs he wrote has the word soul in it?
  6. The live performance should be good. A lot better than that terrible performance of Invisible on Top of The Rock.

I think he just means you don't even care/depend on it; you dont need to have the world to be all the positive things that I'm saying you are.

Few more listens and I stand by my initial statement: loving it, well done boys, it's really fun to listen to and super catchy, with great lyrics - they needed a track like this as the first single.

I'm loving the lyrics structure too:
Verse 1, positive things about her
    Chorus, she's the best thing
Verse 2, negative things about him
Chorus, she's (obviously) the best thing
Bridge, sort of an outside observer commenting on him
    Chorus again...

and I actually like the sort of abrupt ending - goes well with the sadness and confusion of the "why am I walking away" line.
  8. Oh man... i envisioned my self bouncing up and down to this live...
  9. I can see you love her loudly, when she needs you quietly...

    Fucking brilliant.
  10. Indeed

and may I commend Larry and Adam's good presence on both The Best Thing and Blackout?? Loving the drum and bass lines and how intense they get (better than SOI and NLOTH songs I'd say)
  11. Good headphones really help this song
