What is funny is I consider SOI to be their absolute worst album without question, but they seem to be proud of it, but even they admit it was over produced. They seem to recall Pop and Rattle And Hum as these horrible awful things, despite that being the furthest from the truth.

Yup - I'm in that camp as well. SOI is my least favorite U2 album no doubt. It had no staying power for me.
Now that I think about it, I probably haven't even listened to one song from SOI in over a year. It had no staying power for me.
