1. maybe this song is just marketed to the radio obviously and the rest of the album is a classic 2 record as far as the sound ,lyrics ,mixing, I mean let's be honest not many people liked boots and the album was not widely received well. But we all have songs on that album we dislike and like so hopeful for this album especially The Little Things, I mean compare the sound of that song to YTBTAM
  2. The transition from the first verse into the chorus then back into the second verse is horrific. The cerse and choruses sound like they are from different songs. Surely this isn't a final mix?

Fair play to whoever mentioned the resemblence to the 'This Is' cover.

U2 record forgot the U, lol
  4. Uff.. I feel really bad right now, and hi 5 to my man u2_michaelc for being spot on from the beginning!!!

I've listened properly at home right now, in stereo, and I don't wanna get upset, but I kinda am at U2. As I enjoy Blackout, it's like U2 dropped Rick Rubin sessions, and ended up with the same producer as Taylor Swift. It's no exaggeration, just listen to her recent song and it's that same kind of horrible, no-bridge editing, melody changing nonsense.

These songs they're so overproduced they got no soul.

U2's career path could be easily compared to Robert DeNiro's career path. They've had a good song but it's like Spotify and Tidal execs rejected it and advised them to do last minute changes so people will like it with all these effects that are hip now. Come on, U2.
Well, maybe we're getting this because SOI didn't have all these effects so they went like: Screw it guys! We are never gonna win the pop genre if we don't start with all this sound effects competition.

Once again I apologize to u2_michaelc who today just much faster than me figured out what's shit.

Horrific is the word, I agree so much because that's the moment I stopped the song and got upset like: what is this?!!?

i noticed that transition between the chorus to 2nd verse. sounds edited. it's missing a measure or something

    Yep.
  8. This song is giving me anxiety. It's so incoherent.
I can finally say this: guys, I'm gonna play Get On Your Boots now instead! Yes, I know it's bad but at least it feels and sounds like one song not like 10 songs chopped into 1.

I had no idea GOYB was being saved by myself for this moment, but what do I know..

What a letdown this single is.
  9. Blackout should've been the single
  10. There's a real nice song in there. Nothing spectacular but the DNA of a nice song is there. They've just chucked it into a blender.
  11. This won't even get airplay on most stations beyond the next few days....it's embarrassingly bad
