Same. I've been singing it all day. Love the chorus still and especially the bridge!

But also agree - unfortunately - with the sentiment that this song sounds like multiple ideas chucked into a blender. The transition between verses and choruses is pretty bad, and then it just sort of ends without warning...

I'd think this was for sure a "demo" as apparently Edge hinted if not for this being billed as the "official single release", correct? Ironic that so many people hated the Kygo "remix" but at least that sounded more cohesive in sound...
  2. I'm kind of shaken right now by all the negative comments in this topic...
Give it a chance guys, this is no GOYB, this is a really nice song by our favorite band!
I like it. Yes it is overproduced and the transition after the first verse could have been better, but it is certainly not 'horrific'....
I love the start with just the vocal and also love the guitarwork here.
But hey, just my opinion. Let's wait and see how this develops.

I got carried away with my GYOB and shit comments. I'm certainly still listening to see what happens. That it's a decent idea of song that's been put like many of you said through a blender is not an overstatement.

Have you or anybody here listen to it with headphones on or a good sound system is there any bass present?
  5. there certainly is. it forms a large part of the groove.
  6. theres bass. You need headphones and a good stereo with subs
  7. From Edge's Radio 2 interview

This was one of the tunes that actually at the very last minute, we changed quite radically. Took it from being more of a mellow arrangement, we took it back to the band and made it a pretty ballsy rock 'n' roll version and the song shines better as a result of that.
    Erm, what??
  8. The only trouble I have with the song is the transition from the first chorus. Otherwise, it's VERY catchy and joyful. I like it.
