Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. The I&E version of Bullet on the Paris DVD was incredible Bono's rant/rap really added to the song and Edge's solo was just sublime ,The version on U2 3D from the vertigo tour was equally as powerful if not better , I never liked the Zoo tv or Popmart versions of the song they were too jazzed up and lacked impact ,with Rattle and Hum turning 30 this year I'd expect them to throw in a few rarities from that Hawkmoon,Silver&Gold,Love rescue me, Desire and All I want is you have to be played as I'm sure there will be a reissue of the album and DVD
  2. That’s good to hear the Fly could be back. No way it should be missing a 3rd tour in a row on the back of only being played at a handful of 360 shows.

I love The Fly and I hope the band plays it in every show rather than in a few occasions. It's a chance for the Edge to go crazy in his epic solo & give us chills!

Yeah i also think it should be played at every show. It’s definitely a song that would be in my all time perfect u2 Setlist.
  5. I would prefer almost anything over COBL. Bullet is great, only Vertigo version was forgettable. I would love The Fly in any version, 2001 was the best (and would be playable now when Bono doesn't/can't play guitar)
  6. bullet the blue sky was good live, when bono did not improvise in "Suit and tie comes up to me, his face red like a rose on a thorn bush" part

  7. Haha, sorry, I noticed I had quoted you twice on a row. Didn't mean it
  8. Er, are we all missing the fact the band have been burrowing deep in the Eighties for the past two tours, and this one is called EXPERIENCE?

Also, unless Bono's made a full recovery on his guitar playing, putting The Fly back in the set is very unlikely.
  9. They did The Fly without Bono on guitar before.

Bono's guitar isn't plugged in and if it is it's turned right down in the mix so playing The Fly shouldn't be a problem, no reason why Dallas couldn't play his parts under the stage and it wouldn't be the first time he has helped out unknown to most ppl in the audience.

Bono didn’t play guitar on either the elevation or vertigo tour versions of the Fly so it’s not needed.

Scrap that he did play it on the vertigo tour, still though it could be done without bono playing guitar. I thought I’d had the discussion with someone else before about the Fly but it was actually about walk On where bono played guitar on elevation tour but didn’t for 360 tour.
