And yet people were saying that the audience was flat during Acrobat so obviously not everyone cares about it.

I do and I think it seemed like a great performance!

Regarding Best Thing: Like I said earlier, the acoustic version is nice but it takes all the unabashed joy out of it. Do the Kygo remix a la Crazy Tonight 360 if you can’t get the full band version to rock like the studio version. That is definitely a missed opportunity for a song that got the band a lot of attention in terms of a single released by them.

Agreed. The Best Thing is arguably their most popular song (in terms of wide audience) since Vertigo, and playing a half-arsed acoustic version is nothing but a missed chance to truly engage the audience with one of the newer tunes. Probably the only chance. I don't know what they're thinking to do this, seriously. It's like going on tour in 1997 and perform Discothèque with an acoustic guitar on the B stage, or like doing Elevation with an ukelele during the eponymous tour.
  3. I need a fangirl moment. I am so proud of my band. After some criticism of becoming a nostalgia act with the JT30 tour they come out with the balls to do a show that has more than 10 songs from 2015 and beyond, ignores some of their biggest hits and bring out rarities like Acrobat, WGRYWH, SATS (and played beautifully esp. Edge), and play 27 /28 songs to boot. Are there some songs I would like to see? Yes, but I have to pause to take the time to appreciate what this band is still doing after 40 years. Wont be another like them

    Amen!
  5. The 2015 Magnificent remix could rotate with Desire

    Well said.

    Totally agree

  8. So I was playing around with the set last night and decided to make a playlist with a few tweaks to see how it sounds. They are all realisitic ones I think aside from RFD and I still start it with LIAWHL

    Thoughts:
    - Switched Lights Of Home with Best Thing Kygo Mix because as I said I think the laid back version does a disservice to their biggest single in a while.
    - I love Elevation but I made the Influx Mix the intermission and Batman the first song after.
    - I moved Get Out to after Acrobat and am going to see how it sounds followed up with that in its acoustic form. I think with the talk of the KKK in Acrobat would follow up nicely with this song.
    - I like American Soul but I love Red Flag Day. I think/hope this is used in Europe (and Canada but unlikely) because as I mentioned earlierI think the refugee crisis was more prominent there.
    - After jumping in the boat and risking your life how about Lights Of Home?
    - Chose the Baby Horses jsut because I haven't played it in a while...I'm happy with the album version.
  9. Clearly if they're finally playing Acrobat live, they need to put another song in its mythical unicorn place. I think Red Flag Day is shaping up to be the new Acrobat.

Nice. I do hope we see Red Flag Day. Don't mind the acoustic version of Best Thing but get your point above about missing an opportunity to really go for the full band version. Kinda reminds me of thinking they had a big hit with Staring at the Sun but then only playing it acoustic for the majority of PopMart (ironic that Best Thing and SATS are back-to-back acoustic on this tour?).
  11. Whens the first city to have 2 nights for this tour? Will be interesting to see if they do switch it up..
