Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. Yes, absolutely.

I'm just saying if someone is planning on complain about the same thing for the next 50+ shows, they could save some time by just writing it once and then copy-pasting the same message in all the show threads.

Actually, they could do it right now, post in every future show why there's no rotation, no surprises, no variation, it'd really save time.

I loved Acrobat, nobody in my real life cared about it.
    That's it.

Nothing to do with setlists or variation AT ALL.

I think that unless you spend some time in forums, there's no way that you know if x song is the first time ever being played or if it's a staple...

It was an answer to this part. As I think it is the highlight of the show...

I was just asking if everyone is fine with the same songs each night...
Stating that, that is just the way it is... That is way to easy. Sorry.

sorry, my bad. I don't know nobody that remembers the setlists for the last few years and which songs hasn't been played ever before that doesn't frequents online forums, I was assuming that.

  5. Think of it this way... I'd say at least 3/4 (most likely higher than that) of people at each show are not following setlists for each show. When U2 rolls into, it's a treat they've been anticipating, and when U2 roll out of town, they get on with their lives with a great memory - so, really, for them, the set IS a surprise...

And for the rest of the us... we all know we may get 1 or 2 rotational songs on any given night, but for the most part, the set is a companion to the theme. Unfortunately, it's tough to play "All I Want Is You" with MacPhisto frantically on the screen behind you... It would be like watching a poorly edited fan video on YouTube...

Sorry, subject gets me cranky, and I reply bad.
I don't know if it's the first time you say it, but it's the number 1 complain every tour, so, it gets me tired.

No problem. I have been going to shows a long time... This is the first year I feel it is not worth going to a concert. Just Acrobat is the reason so far...

That sounds like selling out, if you ask me....

Yes, we all want more rotation.

However, most likely, we won't get it.

I'd rather people not get fixated on it, since well, first I don't think it's THAT important, but that's just a personal opinion, but most of all, because then the discussion really becomes a party-pooper every single night for the people that wants to enjoy the show as is.

There are still more than 50 shows to go... maybe there'll be a surprise (although it won't be a surprise if you're expecting it), but most likely there won't be any surprises, there'll be no variation.
More than 50 shows to go... people can complain about it every night, or just get over it and try to enjoy it, or off course, just ignore the rest of the shows, "you've heard one you've heard them all".

I do agree that there really is no point complaining about it every night now. People still have every right to bring it up if they want and a lot of people might not have had there say already but I personally did have my say on both the issue of rotation and dropping a song and I’m finished with complaining now, and I’m going to enjoy listening in tonight and tomorrow regardless, I might talk about the bands performance which I think is the most important aspect of the show. One thing I will say and it’s not a criticism just an observation, the complaints will likely be more frequent this tour because with exception of TJT17 tour it is looking like the least amount of rotation for quite some time, in particular for 2 show cities where they changed up around 4 or 5 songs from night 1 to night 2 for I&E.

If I'm getting Gloria and I'm getting Acrobat, I'm all good!

Although, I missed i/e, so all SOI/SOE is basically new stuff to me...
