As for Women of the World/One...One is my favorite U2 song. I still enjoy hearing it live every single time. And the whole "women of the world unite" theme during Ultraviolet on JT last year was one of my favorite parts of the show.

So, I love One and I love the theme of empowering women (I have three daughters of my own now, so this hits home). But I still think it's a terrible way to being an encore. It felt strange in Chicago, at least. They need something to rock with before Bono starts talking...
  2. I love Staring at the Sun.

If they drop it... well, that would be scandalous.

Best song of the tour - yes, better than Acrobat.

We're one, but we're not the same

In Nashville Bono told the crowd that he couldn't remember writing it

Loved to sing this song altogether with the crowd on the floor in Vegas - or, well, at least with the people around me

Hm. I'm not sure it's better than acrobat, but it was fantastic in Nashville. Staring at the Sun is one of those studio tracks I feel Meh about, but I thoroughly enjoyed the live performance. And bringing in images of Charlottesville really enhanced its impact.

They won't drop it. It ties in too well with that segment of show...
  7. If they drop it, but i don't think that's going to happen, the band will do Wanderer instead. I am so looking forward to their shows in Europe.
Gonna have a great time Staring or another song, i am all in !!
  8. "We played "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" as well. That was fun for us. "

    .. and gone it is.
  9. Good to see they're planning on releasing more records. If its Songs of Ascent, I wonder what the tour name would be? iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE + aSCENT? ?
  10. Good read and a further insight into the bands way of thinking this tour. I’m starting to think the reason they reduced the number of songs is because they felt the dropped ones weren’t necessary and if they aren’t adding anything to the show then why play them. Not that it’s my way of thinking but I sometimes forget that the band don’t like just playing songs for the sake of it. I like how rolling stone like to exaggerate it and say they’re playing almost all of the new album when in reality it’s just under or just over 2/3 depending on if red Flag Day gets played or not.

And in Los Angeles (1), Bono couldn't remember the lyrics
    "over you and... over... you?"
The crowd had to rescue that one, which sounds amazing.
