Experience and Innocence tour
Legs (3): Promo tour, Leg 1: North America, Leg 2: Europe
Shows: 75
  1. I really don’t see why people think the set or show is going to change from what we’ve seen in Milan these last 2 nights when it come to the uk.

There isn’t going to be a half EU flag/half Union Jack nor are they going to play anything different in that segment of the show.

I’m sure Bono will talk about Brexit and I’m sure as hell MacPhisto will have something to say especially as there is an EDL rally in manchester this W/e.
  2. Have a hunch The Unforgettable Fire might show up in Manchester
  3. Simple question if you had to chose one to remain in the Setlist for the rest of the tour would it be Gloria or RFD? I know they’ll probably just keep rotating anyway but just wanted to get others opinion since I’d find it hard to chose.

Red Flag Day. This will probably be the only tour we hear SOE songs live. Gloria is more likely to make an appearance in a future tour. Plus I'd just rather hear RFD instead of Gloria and ABOY.

    Gloria. RFD live sucks.

Red Flag day it’s on the album that’s being toured so imo it has to be played
  7. The funny thing is I sort of agree with all the comments so far that’s why I couldn’t decide. I’ve not witnessed RFD live (yet?) so I cant say from first hand experience but Gloria does seem much better live from what I’ve heard and what others have said. However RFD is a new song that I like so usually that’s enough for me to want it in the Setlist on the albums supporting tour. Will be interesting to see what they opt for in Berlin.

I don’t buy that. 8 shows in 2015 at msg. 5 more in the area this year. Same innocence section. This tour was not ready imo. I’m not saying they knew it wasn’t ready but hindsight is 20/20. To know what this tour could of been is infuriating to me.

I agree that the setlist they are playing now is a vast improvement. But I really do think the band still wanted the "Experience and Innocence" tour to retain some of the "Innocence" songs, hence the inclusion of the SOI material in the first half during the American shows. If they always envisioned these past two albums/tours as a packaged deal, it makes sense, regardless of whether they had visited these cities on I&E already or not.

But I hear ya. I'm trying not to complain since:
-I think N. America got the better setlists overall in 2015 and 2011.
-The only songs they are playing now that I've never heard live before are Zoo Station, Wild Horses, and Landlady.
-I still got to hear Acrobat and Staring at the Sun in Chicago and New York this summer. That makes it all worth it, no matter what, to me.

Cheers to those who get to enjoy these European shows yet!

You are right about it will be the only tour they will play RFD but for me I would rather hear them play gloria 3 times in one evening then RFD once :-)

Wouldn't be surprised if Noel Gallagher turns up in Manchester and does a song or two with them as it's his home town and he is Bono's new best friend unless he is on tour himself, they always throw in a few curveballs when they play the UK and Ireland their most loyal and cynical audience.
  11. In short: we're much looking forward to the first U.K. gig...

Personal choice. I heard Gloria in 2015. Yet to hear RFD.
