I recorded three IEMs simultaneously, but unfortunately I will not be releasing any of them in the next five years and I will even take anyone to court who will release any Tulsa bootleg because I'm the best recorder in the land. No one will undermine me, no one will better me.
    Hi again my best friend

Five years sounds like a deal. I will ping you in May 7th, 2023. Please take a look at your inbox.

    All the best,

    your long term taper-admirer

  2. And a cappella versions of all the U2 catalogue. Pronto.
  3. I swear if I don't get a cappella version of American Soul, I'll start flipping tables.

there is a difference between wondering about something or asking for something. To be honest I'm also surprised to see that there's no (good quality) recording released yet. I think in the past sometimes it almost was like a contest for tapers to release the very first bootleg of the tour, but this time no one seems to be interested. Also people who ask that question maybe just wonder if maybe others found something they couldn't find themselves. Nothing wrong with that.
  5. Finaly... the whining has started!

If there is something, you will know about it among the first ones on this site... so there's no need to ask 30x per day if it's already up...
But truth is I also don't remember such a long time of waiting for the first recording of opening night...

I think many people are capable of finding it themselves, so asking is merely a lazy way to get it directly to them. We fundamentally have to agree to disagree, I think it's indefensible to be honest.

it's not like I'm supporting it or something, but just be patient with these guys and give them a normal answer instead of making those sarcastic jokes about it. I know some people here are having a lot of fun with themselves but sometimes it's a bit unfair.
  9. maybe it seems that way because we had a few of those mixlr "bootlegs" back in 2015, which I - personally - don't really consider as such.

I remember Chrisedge uploading the opening night of Vertigo on the Traders Den very shortly after the show. I think it even brought the site down for a while.. also a recording of 360 was out hours after opening night.
And just to be clear, I'm not pushing any taper to do the same, for me the youtube video's are more than enough for now, but I can understand some people wondering if there's something out there already.

Yeah, the "first in uploading" race ended two tours ago, in 2015. It was a combination of factors, but the availability of mixlr/periscope recordings is the major reason I think.

Goes as follows: a taper spends a few hundred (or thousand, as you very well know) bucks in gear, and it takes dozens of hours and gigs to master the technique and become used to the gear. Then, the taper riskily sneaks the recording gear into the venue, does their best looking for the best sounding location within the venue, records, edits and shares the recording...
Only to find that a crappy sounding 128kbps mixlr rip was uploaded a few hours (or days) before, so her/his recording goes unnoticed for 90% of the bootleg's potential audience. It's discouraging and I perfectly understand why more and more tapers are taking their time to share the recordings – or just not doing it altogether.
  12. And not to mention about the Russian looking like Japanese releases!
