It's more songs than last year, so last year was an even worse setlist?
I don't think number of songs says anything about the quality of the show. Just says something about quantitative value for money.

last year they played JT entire album plus better songs (except as usual bd, vertigo, elevaton) , the show 2018, as i wrote ,is similar as 2015 , stages and megascreen, some lights too etc but 8 songs from SOE are really too many .....but i respect your opinion as in the same time i'm convinced about mine.

it's Experience + Innocence Tour, what songs did you expect?
Originally posted by deanallison:I don’t go along with the argument about playing too many SOE songs the only issue so far is the Setlist now shortening by 3 songs from what they played night 1. There is no need to shorten the Setlist, yes the Setlist is still a good length but if you set the bar high don’t drop it for absolutely no reason. The band know people follow the setlists, I don’t care what % Of fans do but there are a few of us and they must know it’s disappointing going from 27 down to 24 songs especially when wild horses got ditched for no good reason as well. Last year I don’t think they played enough songs either but at least they kept it at a consistent level pretty much throughout each leg and we knew what to expect. It’s not surprising though people are looking for a good explanation or reason to drop songs last night and the answer is there isn’t one.

I agree, people need to realise, the majority of songs they will hear will be from Songs of Experience and should expect at leas 6-7 songs. I also agree with your point about the setlist - Wild Horses is the Miracle Drug of 2015.
In 2016, The Cure performed 87 different songs. 87. I know we shouldn't expect U2 to change it that drastically given the nature of the storyline of the tour, but just some rotation would be good - again nothing drastic - 1-3 songs a night is what people are wanting

I saw 15 shows on Springsteen's Wrecking ball tour and got 135 different songs (in total he played 240 different songs on the tour). I only saw 6 shows on the River 2016 tour but I got 81 different songs. Two of the shows were in Gothenburg where he played 18 different songs on night 2 that he didn't play on night 1. U2 are U2 so I don't expect much from them these days but 3 or 4 changes wouldn't kill them. Dropping 2 songs is not exactly what I have in mind !!
The U2 GA racket is now beyond parody.

Someone please explain how drive by check-ins are not just an even lazier way of screwing over the people who have no idea about the already unfair system? pic.twitter.com/4mQ7VcvlOw
