1. It’s very simple. Maybe a bit too dark and the broadcast mix has taken the crowd right out of it. Bono talks a lot too.

I’m sure the released version will be different.

The biggest problem it has is that it just looks like Paris 2015.

Is that maybe a new way of selling? show a half and then hope people pay for the whole of it?

Which wouldn't explain the air time in Germany. Fogerty is so early (4 or 5 am or so) and U2 will be airing at 0.20 after new year's midnight - when 80% of the Germans are outside doing fireworks (and those staying inside won't be able to HEAR anything of it because of the noise outside).

    Turn it up then?

This is it. This is all just a teaser to buy the whole thing.

    Expect a release in Q1.

I don't think that the 2nd part of the release will be different.
    The cuts were made.
It looks like Paris because it is the same stage, except the 8k Videoscreen

  6. Hola

Seeing last night the 75-minute concert of the U2: eXPERIENCE - Live In Berlin, I could appreciate and give me an idea of how great the tour setlist could have been if the songs had been presented in this way.
  7. No thanks, I really don't care for that "release" in any way. I think all their official live releases just suck. They are FAR from reality. (I might buy it because I happened to be there, but will never watch it.)

(and for 3sat: I just for the first time since they do that on new years eve will not turn in, as the main part of the day is filled with pop sh*t)

also - I have edited the multicam of that gig and by that I have seen the whole concert about 892374598340765347865 times while editing (in parts and steps) -> I never watched any of my multicams after finishing

“Far from reality” this is maybe the case for Chicago 2005 but Berlin is one night? They didn’t even edit out Bono’s fuck up at the start of COBL.
  9. It was funny when I first watched it though during GOOYOW at the beginning they were showing a lot of bono and I said watch they’ll move away from his face just now as he missed the opening lyric and they do. The camera moves to his back and they must edit in the lyrics. I’m glad about that though. This dvd is going to be perhaps the only official document of the tour on video and I don’t want it being full of mistakes like that. From an audio rip perspective as well I want a show without mistakes.
  10. Someone who watched the TV broadcast tells me what it sounds like and looks like?
  11. U2 doing things for purely commercial reasons? Surely you jest.

I mean it's not liked they pumped the return of a US radio station - in Tokyo. Now that would be over the line.

(Enjoying the half show - looking forward to the full release, in stereo).
  12. There's a YouTube version of it on the first page so you can judge yourself

It sounds just fine and looks a bit dark.
