Ticketek sends tickets by SMS with the tickets only accessible by this link, like in the picture above (sorry if its too big!), last time I used ticketmaster it was through email, and you can access your tickets anytime through 'my account' on the website. I'm not sure if this process will change and you will need to enter a phone number.
Ticketek says their mobile app has a ticket wallet.

    https://premier.ticketek.com.au/mobile/

"You know you bought mobile tickets… but where’s that message you received from Ticketek? Don’t scroll endlessly through your messages, check your Ticket Wallet in the Ticketek app, the place to store your mobile tickets safely and securely. You can also save mobile tickets to your iPhone’s Passbook."

So has Ticketmaster. All you need are the australian apps for both.

The Ticketek app is not downloadable from the app store from other regions than Australia. I just tried it.
It will work only if you're using an Australian SIM card I guess.
  3. No, you just need an Australian Apple ID.
  4. @Hardti: How can I get that? Tied to an Aussie address?
  5. Exactly.
  6. We have the geo blocking, it doesn't even allow me to enter the Australian app store side on my computer. Will try it later from home and use my ID hide programme.
    Thanks for the hint
  7. Sorry but I think you will still need to enter a mobile phone number, the app doesn't do anything different to the ticketek website, and if you read the important ticket collection/delivery information at the bottom of this page
    https://premier.ticketek.com.au/events/U219/venues/ADO/performances/EADX2019939U/tickets
it clearly states tickets will be sent via SMS. However it also does say you can still go to the box office and collect your tickets on the day, if you are having issues.
  8. They are promoting the app with not having to scroll through text messages to access the mobile ticket.

You'll get a link via text message that opens the ticket, and the same should happen using the app.

It does say that, but the reviews for the app are quite poor, and looking at it right now I can't access any tickets I've bought, although I am using android so maybe it is different on apple.

    Normal Tickets or mobile Tickets?
  11. Thats too bad. I thought it works as well as Ticketmaster.
