Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15
  1. No, it's not too late. You'll end up in the 2nd presale group then (The "Wires" group), but that should be no problem getting you tickets.

At least you'll be rewarded with the new i+e live 2CD set. And with the 4 ticket presale limit I think it is likely that, same as with theJT2017 tour, they let you split the limit between shows. So 2 tix for show A, and 2 tix for show B. This is not yet confirmed by U2.COM yet, but I'm sure they will in the coming days.

Save to say that I never regretted any presale
  2. For people who went GA in the 2017 JT shows, where's the best place to stand?
  3. does anyone know what are the fees for buying tickets and postage to europe?

the European eventim is quite high at EI tour
  4. I was 2nd row on the B stage for the DC show. During the first 4-5 songs, the band are playing literally a few meters in front of you. Then, you have a full view of the screen for the rest of the show.

Nice, did you have to line up early for that kind of spot?

"Ticketmaster and Live Nation have announced that the floor tickets for all New Zealand and Australia shows will be paperless. Fans will be sent their tickets digitally to their mobile devices 72 hours before each show.

The paperless ticket will ensure that ticketing vulture sites won’t have enough time for their scalpers to go go offload tickets onto the market at inflated prices."

I wonder if this will work. If they say "digitally to their mobile device...", then it must be a text message, since an e-mail is not tied to a mobile device...
I know that it can happen that a text messages within long distances (AUS to European phone no) will receive delayed or not at all.
Since this will be for all GA tickets, I guess they wont use the mobile phone number which is in the U2.com account?

In the US they are using a new kind of mobile tickets now for newer shows (Madonna for instance). This is a special mobile ticket that will automatically be refreshed every 15 seconds and therefore is always unique and impossible to sell or trade.

It only works on modern smartphones but I guess that's no problem nowadays.

Yes but I fear that the text message won't arrive or arrive in time.
For a system we are using, it was necessary to receive text messages to my colleagues in Malaysia, they did not arrive at all.

Thats what I've found on Ticketek now:
    Mobile Ticket Delivery Information/Conditions:

Ticketek's Mobile Ticket offers you convenience and improved access at selected events with tickets sent direct to your mobile phone. You'll be able to purchase tickets from either Ticketek's Web Site, Mobile Site or Call Centre and have them sent directly to your mobile phone.

You will have the option of sending every person in your booking their own individual ticket via SMS. Alternatively, you may wish to receive all Ticketek Mobile Tickets on your mobile phone and either forward them to your friends yourself or keep all tickets on your phone and arrive together with your friends.

Helpful tips when arriving at the event:

If you selected to have all tickets sent to your mobile phone, make sure these have been forwarded on to everyone in your booking
Before arriving at the event open your Ticketek SMS message
Once your message has been opened, click on the link to reveal your Ticketek Mobile Ticket in preparation for scanning
Ensure the back-light on your mobile phone is turned up to aid the speed of scanning your Ticketek Mobile Ticket (see the manufacturer's manual for instructions.)

At venues using turnstiles, scan your Ticketek Mobile Ticket by placing your mobile phone with barcode displaying under the turnstile scanner.

Where hand held scanners are used, simply present the Mobile Ticket to the customer service representative for scanning.
  9. On Ticketmaster is no option to enter a phone number now. Maybe this option will appear in the purchase process?
Ticketek has a field where you can enter the phone number.
  10. Is it a text message or is it on the TM app?
  11. I guess text message, at least thats what Ticketek says:

"Before arriving at the event open your Ticketek SMS message"

I couldn't find any information on this on the TM page.
