  1. Hey, sab7788, you are wrong.
    I'm young, I've got a good knowledge of music, and I still think that many of the people that doesn't know U2 love Joshua instead of Achtung.

    I love both.
    For me The Joshua Tree is a Great disc with Good songs. A group of songs, not excellent songs, but a great group of them. .
    Achtung Baby is for me a Good disc with Great songs.

    For me both deserve 10/10. But I would carry The Joshua Tree for a lonely island, for all my life.

    OK. This is a kind of explanation of your previous comment.
    But I just wanted to avoid you to say that the real essence of U2 is only into Achtung Baby. That's wrong. The real essence of U2 is in their whole discography, so both in Achtung Baby and in The Joshua Tree. So it's just a coincidence that the major part of those who do not know U2 likes The Joshua Tree. Maybe because (that can be true) it's the best known album.
    Apart from that it's all just a matter of taste. I'm sure that a lot of people who know U2 very well and like them very much like The Joshua Tree more than Achtung Baby.

    I just wanted to underline these things...

  3. i also like achtung baby more than joshua tree, but on the other side i like joshua tree more than achtung baby. sometimes i'm in the mood for TJT and sometimes for AB.

    The majority of the people who "don't" know or "do not know very well" U2 prefers Joshua. But you're right, not Everyone who knows well U2 has to like more Achtung. My mother, for example, knows very good U2 and prefers the Joshua Tree.

    For me it's the same...today is for me JT-day, but tomorrow could be AB-day and sometimes it's a day for both How hard i try, I can't choose.

    Yeah i think JT is more peaceful, if you want to relax and AB is more if you want to do "active", like "Lets rock this house "
    And yeah there are more than 2 albums but i think the majority finds this thé best albums

    hope i'll enjoy this forum as much as you all seem to do!

    well, i've got to say that i like so much all the u2 albums that is almost impossible to choose my favorite... my i agree that joshua tree is awesome!

    and like one of the members of the band said one time, it's their first flawless album!!
