1. My mum has told me plenty of times that she went to a music store at 9AM, just before her classes (she was 17 by the time and was at school yet), and it was closed... and when she was out at 1PM (just 4 hours after), there was a 200 meters long queue outside that same store, and a few minutes later the news spreaded around the queue: there were no more copies of The Joshua Tree. Everyone went to other stores around the city, where the same story was happening again and again... My mum eventually got the album by a friend who had bought 2 copies! But a lot of people didn't have the same luck and got no album at all
  2. what a great story, uk was like that too.
  3. yeah right i've never seen the store so much crowded .. uhm no probably the Achtung baby day was worst

I wish I'd been around for Lovetown or some of the summer festivals.
  5. I was just three months shy of being born at this point.
  6. Does anyone know where the live versions of Bullet The Blue Sky and Love Is Blindness are from on the Stay (Faraway, So Close!) single?
  7. Bullet the Blue Sky comes from the famous 1993-08-28 Dublin show, and LIB was taken from the 1992-08-30 New York concert if I am not wrong
  8. My favourite BTBS..

    Thanks!
  10. Does anyone know if Edge lip synced his performances of Numb or not? Also, I had a thought that it might be cool to bring it back but in an acoustic version? I can see Edge strumming and speaking the words while Bono sings "II feel Numb, gimme some more"... might be cool to hear once.
  11. I was wondering something about the lyrics to All I Want Is You.

    In the second verse

You say you'll give me a highway with no one on it
Treasure just to look upon it
All the riches in the night
You say you'll give me eyes in a moon of blindness

I actually think @u2 (where I got the lyrics from) are wrong and it is 'eyes in a room of blindness' as that makes far more sense in the context of the verse, for one if it was 'moon of blindness' (which is nonsensical) it should be "eyes on a moon of blindness" so I think Bono is actually singing "room'.

Anyone know what the liner notes say?
  12. Its eyes in the moon of blindness, I looked it up on U2.com and I guess they know the lyrics of the band. Althought Bono doesnt know them himself
