    It is just so unnecessary. It would be like U2 deciding that they can do a better job recording Streets, and from now on the only way you can get the Joshua Tree is with the new version only. Leave it alone. People seemed to like the movies enough before you started endlessly tinkering.

    No longer is there the awesome chirpy "yup yup" Ewok singing, but some ambient sort of waily flutey bollocks. Kinda like one of the videos from U2.com, actually (the one with Edge on the Infinite guitar and Larry on some sort of keyboard thing...)...

    I know what you mean - to use your idea, I sort of see it as if U2 re-recorded JT but used the Pet Shop Boys' arrangement for Streets...ok, maybe that's a bit extreme, but it's that kind of thing, throwing new stuff at something perfectly awesome - if it ain't broke don't fix it!

    Anywho, just watched Pan's Labyrinth again, this time because I'm using it as a reference point for an essay - I really should have remembered that it's one of those films that come under the "requires to be watched with a very stiff drink. Or 5." category...

    I love Pan's Labyrinth, but I doubt that my wife will ever forgive me for making her watch it. So heartbreaking. I am re-watching The Office right now. Not a movie, I know but hilarious. The original version. I like both, even though I tried to hate the American verson just on principle.
  5. I watched 'Ghost Voyage' on Sky Movies earlier. I'm confident I could make a better film with some play-doh, tin foil and a frog. But according to Wikipedia it was made for the Sci-Fi channel so I really shouldn't of expected a masterpiece

    (^ Yey for The Office! I love both versions but I'm currently hooked on the post-season 1 episodes of the American version. I wish more people over here would give it a chance, once they stop trying to use the storylines and jokes from the UK version and comes into it's own it's quite good)

    Exacty. You just kind of have to clear your mind. It's difficult at first, but it can be done.

    Der Untergang is a really great movie! I think it gives a good impression of the last days of Nazi-Germany! But it's indeed not really a family-movie lol

    Ummm....did we REALLY just compare "Where the Streets Have No Name" to the final Ewok scene in "Return of the Jedi?????"
