1. I agree with the Pride comments, I didn't mind at all when it was missed out on the Elevation tour.

That said, on POPMART they played it early in the set and used a different intro: that worked really well as it was such a surprise - it's often really good to 'throw away' one of the famous tracks early on.

    "Probably"?
    Must be joking right?

Edge has said that a concert can be a bit boring, but when they play Streets, God walks through the room.

It's THE highlight on every U2-concert.
  3. When his voice gets back to the ZooTV-Joshua Tree periods then that will be awesome. Maybe the fantastic versions of Miss Sarajevo on the South America/Australia, New Zealand, Tokyo and Honolulu shows were an indication of what's to come...

Of course it's one of the best... But of course it's not the highlight on EVERY gig. For example, the Vertigo' versions, without the flash, were "bad" into the "greatness"... Do you catch me? It was not the highlight at all. For example, COBL was much better (for me and many more people)

What about Cannes? His voice was gone again... And in Rostock it wasn't from the outerspace either...

in fairness his voice was out of use for 5 to 6 months before Cannes and Rostock.

I know you could use the same argument back about the 5th leg of the Vertigo Tour but i'm sure he re-hearsed plenty before those shows.

Agree that Streets isn't the hi-light it once was without the flash of filghts.

I think a voice out of use should be better than after 6 months of touring...

argument works both ways. I think a voice on tour (in the first half at least) should be fully loosened up and at its optimum.

I totally agree with Drew. I'm getting surer and surer that Bono's voice is going to get great again. Maybe it's only a feeling of mine, but the fact that his voice got better and better by the end of the tour is a proof for me.

    Time will say who's right...

his voice got better after an 8 month break. Without that break he wouldn't have had a voice. Listen to any of the 4th Leg shows and see how bad his voice was (Buenos Aires is a good example).

So if the tour went ahead as planeed his voice would have only deteriorated further.

    Amen.
If the tour had went ahead, he could't have sung this amazing Miss Sarajevo's of the 5th leg.

I agree. I didn't care too much for the Vertigo Tour versions of Streets. Too much talk in the beginning and of course I was missing the lights. Too short intro too, bring the ZOO TV intro back ffs!

Still, it's ONE of the true highlights. Not on every concert but the Twickenham version for example, was really good.
